K-8 Teacher

“I love working with my students and meeting them right where they are, just like the Lord does with us. There is something deeply spiritual about serving children and the art of teaching. I can’t believe I get paid to do this job.”

Grades taught: 5th, 3rd,Kindergarten, and 3 years working with exceptional learners in grades 3-12 in our ESS department. BA in Liberal Studies & Minor in Biblical Theology from William Jessup University; Clear California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential; MA in Language and Literacy from California State University, Sacramento

Rachael’s husband is also a teacher at CCS and an alum. They have a deep love for the city of Sacramento and love serving students together. They consider their students as their “kids”, and at home they have a big orange cat named Freddie who has quite the personality (they call him their cat-dog). Her interests include cooking and all things home making.
