Cindy Melgoza

K-12 Teacher

“I love to see students that would never have thought about singing, get on stage and become “hooked”. I love to have my students experience various styles/genres and eras of music.”

Cindy grew up with music, being that her father was a band and choir director. She taught piano lessons and directed a children’s choir while in high school. I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Education from Cal State Fullerton and Teaching Credential from Azusa Pacific University. She started my teaching career in the public school system in the LA area and has been at Capital for 14+ years.

Her favorite thing to do is hang with her family. Never a dull moment, never a quiet one either, when they’re together. She also loves to shop!

Favorite Verse: Romans 8:1. “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

She’s married to Manuel Melgoza, a lawyer (expert in OSHA law) and has 4 children, all of whom were lifers and graduated from Capital. Her two oldest have since graduated from Liberty University and youngest two from performing arts schools in NY and LA.
