Chris Orr
Chris has over 18 years of experience in administration. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Sacramento State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary’s University, School Leadership Administrative Services from the Fortune School of Education, and the Principal Residency Program with Aspire Public Schools.
He enjoys athletics as demonstrated by his work as a CIF and NCAA basketball official for over 15 seasons. Chris has been married 25 years to his incredible wife, Tashia. He has two amazing sons Nico and Solomon. Nico is at CSU Sacramento; and Solomon is beginning at CSU San Francisco.

Danielle Gloudeman
"I am so passionate about seeing young people surrender their lives to Christ and begin to understand the heart of God! I am so grateful for a job where I get to not only teach, but also mentor and disciple students. Plus I get to take students overseas and plan events for the school which is a huge blessing!" Danielle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Linguistics and a minor in Anthropology from UCLA. She loves reading, doing crossword puzzles, and trying every coffee shop in the area with my friends! Favorite Bible Passage: Colossians 3:1-17
Doris Valdez
Mrs. Valdez teaches HS Art 1, 2, 3, & AP Art and Design Teacher, Yearbook Advisor. Her education includes a double major in Fine Art and English. Professional Clear California Teaching Credential: Art, English, Social Studies and an ELL Lifetime Certificate. She taught in public school for 10 years before coming to CCS in 2007. She has been teaching for over twenty years. Mrs. Valdez has been married to her wonderful husband since 1997. She has two daughters, both lifers. Her oldest is in college, and her youngest attends CCHS. Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 (her wedding verse) and Hebrews Chapter 11. Her hobbies are creating art, reading, and cooking. "I love my students so much, and it is a joy to be able to openly share my faith with them and to remind them that God's promises are true."
Doug Brown
Mr. Brown has a B.A. and M.A. from Sacramento State University. He has worked in education for over 36 years serving as a teacher, resource teacher, high school and college basketball coach, athletic director, and high school principal. He has four children and eleven grandchildren. He enjoys teaching, mission trips, coaching cross country, basketball, running, surfing/boogie-boarding, and sharing his Christian faith.
Hannah Abraham
Mrs. Abraham teaches Chemistry and Advanced Placement Chemistry. She earned her BS in Chemistry and her BA in Education from Madras University in India, and her MS in Chemistry and her MA in Education from Annamalai University in India. She taught chemistry for thirty years and served in various roles as Headmistress and Vice Principal of 7,000 students in India. She holds an ACSI Standard Teaching Certificate and a Teaching Credential from India. Hannah is married and has one son.
Jason Foster
Mr. Foster is teaching Boys Physical Education and Weight Training this year. He has a BA in Physical Education from Point Loma Nazarene University and an MA in Sport Science from the University of the Pacific. He has maintained his California Teaching Certificate in Physical Education and Health. He is married to a CCS alum and has four boys that attend CCS.
Jean Wolf
"The relationships I form with my students is what I value most about being a teacher. I want every one of my students to feel valued, known and appreciated for who they are here at Capital. I love that I get to share my love for math and science with them and Teach in a way that honors God as our creator. I love that I get to help expose the order found in creation both in my Algebra 2 classes and my Anatomy and Physiology classes." Education and Experience: BS in Kinesiology from Cal Poly. California teaching credential from San Jose State University. Experience working in physical therapy clinics as well as teaching math and science at The King’s Academy and Los Altos High School in the Bay Area. Married to husband Phil, have four children, two dogs, one cat and a flock of hens. She loves to do anything outdoors! Hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, swimming. She also enjoys reading and board games with my family. Favorite verse: "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly[a] with your God." Micah 6:8 (named her son after it!)
Lisa Quiroz
Mrs. Quiroz is a graduate from William Jessup University with a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Human Services from Liberty University. She has been teaching at Capital Christian for some time and enjoys spending quality time with her family when she’s not at work. Mrs. Quiroz has been married to her wonderful husband since 1998. She has 3 children, 1 that still attends CCS and 2 that have graduated. Her favorite verse is Psalm 91:1, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Luke Martin
"I love being able to connect with the kids and help them grasp new concepts." Luke has a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and has experience working with satellites, precision explosives, mold design, construction/project management, and master planning. His hobbies include writing music, snowboarding, backpacking, making coffee, videography, rock climbing, and food. Luke has a huge heart for international missions and hopes to be sent out someday. John 3:30 "He must become greater; I must become less."
Melanie Yaroshuk
Melanie is excited to work at CCS because of "The Christian fellowship and the students." She has a Bachelors in Biblical Studies and currently working on a masters degree. She enjoys being outdoors, making flower bouquets, and being with family. Favorite Verse: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Mindy Hills
Education/Experience: MS Mathematics, MA Secondary Education, 12 years teaching experience at high school and college level. Mindy is passionate about helping students understand the complexities of mathematics. She is married with two kids, one currently attending Capital Christian School. She enjoys traveling and going out to eat. Favorite bible passage: Matthew 7:7-14 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Nicole Tawlks
Nicole enjoys working at Capital especially for "that moment when something difficult becomes easy, because of the guidance I was able to give them." Her education includes a Bachelors Degree from Western Oregon University for Elementary/Middle School Education with a focus in Mathematics. Hobbies include puzzles, TV/movies, and hosting. She is married and they have a baby, Eli, and a toddler, Grace. She claims she has the silliest family in the land. Favorite Verse: Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
