Welcome to CCHS
Capital Christian High School (CCHS) is designed to partner with families in providing a Christ-centered education under the four cornerstones of Capital Christian Schools: “Developing the Spiritual, Academic, Social and Physical potential, all from the foundation of biblical truth.” We strive to be an exemplary school that pursues excellence through Christ.
CCHS provides a state-of-the-art campus on the 63 acres of Capital Christian Center church. CCHS has a highly-qualified faculty that maintains academic quality while integrating faith and learning to ensure an environment in which students can pursue a great education with an emphasis on discipleship.
CCHS is a community of families that participate in the lives of their children while allowing their student to grow and to seek God first. Over 90% of CCHS graduates go on to attend some of the finest Colleges and Universities in our nation. It is our desire to partner with families to provide their student with a biblical foundation as they leave the familiar surroundings of CCHS to pursue what God has for them beyond high school.

College & Career
The College & Career Center introduces students to college and career opportunities and helps prepare them for success in college and on into adulthood. Our focus is to raise awareness at each grade level.
-
Freshmen
Freshmen work take the PSAT 8/9 as their first step towards college readiness. This exam provides a base PSAT score for them to build upon throughout high school.
-
Sophomores
CCHS introduces the PSAT/NMSQT to all Sophomores. Results from this exam give students access to a detailed score report, AP Potential, and other valuable information through College Board.
-
Juniors
An SAT Prep Course is available twice a year for students to prepare for the College Board exam. Students also take the PSAT and are required to attend a college fair. At the end of 11th grade, students complete a college planning project which includes the following: their top five schools, resume, personal essay, common application and more.
-
Seniors
Assistance is available for 12th grade students as they complete their applications, recommendations, scholarships and financial aid information. The seniors also participate in a Senior Summit in the fall to help with their college/career transition.
-
Opportunities for all Students
Each fall, CCHS hosts “College Day,” where approximately 25 Christian colleges visit our campus. Throughout the school year, many additional college admissions representatives visit CCHS for small group setting presentations. We also offer a college financial planning workshop twice a year as a partnership with Thrivent Financial.

Career Planning
CCHS offers Kuder Career Planning Systems for students to complete three assessments that link them to potential career opportunities. Also from that system, students may further investigate careers, majors, and college opportunities.
During the Sophomore year, students further investigate careers by completing a career project and research paper.
